Application

Step 1: Preparation

Gently push back the cuticles, file the nails, and lightly roughen them with the buffer. Then clean thoroughly with the cleaning cloth.

Step 2: Apply adhesive & cure

Select the appropriate gel strips, apply them, and press down carefully. Then cure under the UV LED lamp for 2 x 60 seconds.

Step 3: File & Seal

File the gel strips into shape and optionally seal them with a UV top coat. Clean the surface of the gel strips with a cleaning wipe, apply the UV top coat, and cure again—done! 💅✨

Removal

Step 1: Apply oil remover

Apply remover to the edges of the nails, massage in, and carefully loosen the gel strips with a rosewood stick.

Step 2: Soak your nails

Place your hands in a bowl of warm water, remover oil, and hand soap. Gradually loosen the gel strips with the stick.

Step 3: Remove residue & care for your skin

Remove any adhesive residue with a file or cotton pad and remover liquid. Finally, apply hand cream and nail oil for extra care. 💅✨

Can I use the gel strips on any length of natural nail? Whether short or long?

Yes! Our gel strips are longer than most on the market and are therefore also suitable for particularly long natural nails. But they can also be used on short natural nails without any problems. Due to their extra length, one gel strip is even enough for two applications.

Can the UV gel strips lengthen my nails?

UV Gel Strips can't extend your nailson their own—they're designed to be applied to the natural nail, giving it a long-lasting, gel-like appearance.

However,you can, of course, use our fake tips to extend your nails and then apply the UV Gel Strips over them. This way, you can achieve beautiful nail extensions with a gel finish—without liquid gel or complicated sculpting.

How long do the strips last unopened?

Once opened, store them in an airtight, dark place to prevent premature curing—ideally using the sticker included in the UV Gel Strips packaging. As long as you keep the UV Gel Strips in their packaging and protect them from sunlight, they will last for over two years.

I have broken/brittle nails, can I still use the strips?

Well-groomed and beautiful hands start with healthy nails. Therefore, we generally recommend giving your nails a break and caring for them first.
If you still don't want to give up our gel strips, you can of course still use them. They are significantly gentler than a classic gel manicure at a nail salon, as they don't involve any drilling or excessive filing of the top layer of the nail. Furthermore, our strips don't contain any harmful ingredients.
Our Doonails UV Gel Strips, in particular, can help stabilize your nails and
protect them from further breakage.

Tip:For better hold, smooth your nails with a buffer before applying the strips—without roughening them.

Can I also do a pedicure with it?

We offer special UV gel strips for pedicures – you can find all the designs here.Since toenails are often naturally wider than fingernails, we don't recommend using manicure strips for pedicures. Stretching the strips can impair their durability and is not recommended.

Is the UV lamp harmful?

No, the Doonails UV lamp is not harmful. Our gel strips require only a very small amount of UV light to cure, and the included lamp is only 6W – significantly dimmer than conventional studio lamps or even natural sunlight. One minute in the sun exposes you to more UV radiation than under our lamp.

Important:Avoid doing your gel strip manicure outdoors – sunlight can unintentionally harden the strips in seconds.
If you have particularly sensitive skin or want to be on the safe side, you can wear special gloves during the application, leaving only your fingertips exposed, or apply a UVA/UVB sunscreen about 20 minutes before the manicure. However, avoid applying it to your nails to avoid compromising the durability of the gel strips. Everyone should be aware of the potential risks and decide for themselves whether this manicure method is the right choice.

Is the product animal-friendly?

Yes! Our press-on nails are vegan, cruelty-free, HEMA-free, and officially PETA-certified.

I am allergic: Can I still use the strips?

Here’s the “Milkshake” color. I’m honestly terrible at nail care and manicures. But with the gel strips it’s super easy. Now I have nice, long, well-groomed nails I did myself. I love it. Sadly, because of my job I have to redo them every 2 weeks.
