Frequently Asked Questions
How many applications can I make with one nail oil bottle?
When used daily, the nail oil lasts for about 5-6 weeks.
Can I treat my nails with the nail oil directly after applying Dipping Powder, Gel Strips or Press Ons?
Yes, the nail oil is ideal for daily use and after a manicure. However, after press-ons and gel strips, we recommend waiting about an hour before massaging in the nail oil.
I have very sensitive and cracked cuticles. Can I use the nail oil?
Yes, our nail oil is also designed for this need, as it soothes cracked and dry cuticles and provides intensive moisturisation.
What is the difference between the new nail oil and the old Doonails nail oil?
We have listened to your feedback and improved the formula. The popular almond oil base remains, but we have enriched the nail oil with additional nourishing and rich ingredients and vitamins to provide even more intensive care for nails and cuticles.
Do I need the Cuticle Softener?
Cuticle Softener is ideal if you notice that your cuticles are dry, hardened or difficult to remove. If you find it difficult to gently push back your cuticles or if they feel rough and brittle, the cuticle softener can help to soften them and create a clean nail surface. It is particularly useful for optimally preparing your nails for a manicure and enabling a longer-lasting, well-groomed manicure.
Is it sufficient to soak the nails in a hand bath to soften the cuticles?
A hand bath can help, but is less effective. The Cuticle Softener is specially developed to soften the cuticle thoroughly and gently.
How often should the cuticle softener be used?
The cuticle softener should be part of every manicure preparation. To keep natural nails well-groomed without a colour manicure, we recommend using the cuticle softener once a week or as required to keep the cuticles soft and well-groomed.
How do I recognise dead cuticles?
‘Dead cuticles’ can be recognised by the fact that they are dry and hardened and flakes of skin are deposited on the nail plate when lightly scratched. These often invisible flakes of skin are frequently the reason why lifts form under the manicure and it does not last long. With the Cuticle Softener, these flakes of skin can be removed easily and effortlessly, making it ideal for use before gel strips, dipping powders or press-ons.
