Step-by-Step Guide

Your First Dipping Powder Application
The time has come: everything you need for your first dipping session is in front of you, ready to shine! To help you get the most out of your dipping manicure, we’ve packed our detailed beginner tutorial with all the essential tips and tricks—sharing everything you need to know about the dipping process.

What You’ll Need for Your Application:

• Dipping Powder Starter Set
• Nice to have: Primer, Nail & Cuticle Oil and Brush Cleaner & Softener

Preparation - Things you should keep in mind:

• Avoid using any lotions or creams before application, as oily nail surfaces can reduce adhesion.
• Always work on one nail at a time: apply the liquid and dip immediately before moving to the next finger.
• Apply only a thin layer of each liquid to prevent unwanted lumps or thickening.
• Gently brush off excess powder after each dip.
• Take your time between each step to ensure the best possible result.
• Avoid getting product on the cuticles to prevent air bubbles under the layers.
• Stick to the recommended waiting times between activator, filing, and top coat.
• Apply enough activator coat to ensure proper bonding and to avoid air bubbles along the edges. Don’t forget the nail tips and sides!

How it works:

STEP 1 - PREPARATION 

File your nails into the desired shape and gently push back your cuticles using the manicure stick. Lightly buff the surface of your nails to remove shine and eliminate the thin cuticle layer at the base of the nail plate.

STEP 2 - BASE COAT & BASE POWDER

Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and dip your nails into the Base Powder. This protects your nails from discoloration and creates a strong foundation that makes your dipping manicure even more durable. Simply brush off any excess powder with a brush.

STEP 3 - BASE COAT & COLOUR POWDER

Apply another thin layer of Base Coat and dip your nails into your favorite colour powder. Repeat this step for a more opaque and vibrant result. Once again, brush off any excess powder with a brush.

STEP 4 - ACTIVATOR & FILING

Generously apply Activator and let it dry for 2 minutes. Then, smooth out any uneven areas with a file and reshape your nails if needed. Follow with a second layer of Activator and let it dry for another 2 minutes.

STEP 5 - TOP COAT

All that's missing now is the perfect shine: apply the first layer of Top Coat and let it dry for 2 minutes. Then apply a second layer. After another 2 minutes of drying time, your manicure is ready to shine!
